After a day of rest, games resumed on Friday with all of the quarterfinals. Primeiro de Agosto eased to a 72-40 win over Kenya Ports Authority. The other Angolan team, Inter Clube, also advanced after beating A Politecnia 62-33. Ferroviario Maputo had the closest game with a 69-57 win over Petroliers. First Bank finished the day with an 80-53 win over FAP. All of these teams will play games on Saturday and Sunday as the battle for the title continues. The other teams are still playing for final placement.

The day actually started with a consolation game. Both teams fought hard for their first win of the tournament, but it was Georgia Otieno, Cynthia Irankunda, and United States International University who edged Rachel Ndukue and Etoile Filante 62-61.
