First placed Woori Bank played their last game of round two against Hana Bank on Wednesday night. KEB Hana seems to give Woori Bank the most trouble and this game was no difference. For the first time this season Woori Bank were tied at the half. Hana Bank looked to keep up the momentum in the second half but Woori came out in the third and took complete control of the game. Outscoring Hana 25 to 10 in the third Woori Bank never back and improved to a perfect 10-0 record.

Shinhan Bank was looking to get back on track as they visited a new looking Samsung. Shanice McKinney is playing in place of Alyssa Thomas who is still out do to an injury. Shinhan was also down a player as the team decided to part ways with Adut Bulgak and bring in a new post player Destiny Williams. Williams did not dress for this game as she is still waiting for league clearance. With one foreigner suiting up for Shinhan and a new foreigner for Samsung things got underway in Yongin. Samsung got off to a great start in the first half taking a big lead into the half. Shinhan fought back in the second holding Samsung to just 12 points in the third and fourth quarter but they too were unable to put the ball in the basket. On the bright side for Shinhan Alex Vaioletama had her best game of the season finishing with a double double. Continuing their string of defeat Shinhan sits in last place with a 2-7 record.

KDB took on KB Stars at home Sunday evening with both teams fighting to be in the top half of the standings. The first half was controlled mostly by KB as Pierson led her team to a 9 point halftime advantage. In the third KB looked to keep the momentum from the first half as they held onto their lead leading into the last stanza. KDB never gave up their fight and completely changed the course of the game in the fourth. Led by Karima Christmas, KDB held KB stars to just four points in the quarter to their 20! Thus, taking home the win and a tie for third place

After losing every game in the first round of play KEB Hana have changed things around! Winning their third game in a row, Hana defeated KDB at home Friday night. KDB took a two point lead into the half after a back forth first and second quarter. The third quarter made the difference for the hosts as they came out of the half firing and taking over the lead before heading into the last quarter of play. Christmas did all she could to keep her team in the game but the sharp shooting of Korean shooting guard Gangyiseul, who went 5-5 from the three point line, proved to be too much for the visitors to overcome. KDB and Hana are now tied in the standings with a 3-5 record.

Woori Bank looked to continue their winning streak against visiting Shinhan Bank. Shinhan Bank has struggled recently finding themselves at the bottom of the standings. Vaioletama had her best game of the season but it was hardly enough as they had no answer for Jonquel Jones who continues to dominate the league. She finished the game with a monstrous double double to lead her team to an 8-0 record.

KEB Hana finally scored a win in their last game and came with more confidence heading into their matchup with second placed Samsung. Samsung is still without Alyssa Thomas who missed her second game in a row due to injury. This has left a heavy load on Natasha Howard who had to play all 40 minutes of the game. Despite being a man down Samsung played a great first quarter. However, they weren’t able to carry that momentum into the second as Hana took control of the game and the lead heading in the the second half.  Having to deal with Natalie Achonwa and Kayla Thornton for an entire game proved to be too much for Samsung as a pretty evenly matched second half saw Hana squeeze out a win on the road. Achonwa seems to be finding her way in the Korean League as she finished the game with a double double.

Samsung vs. KEB Hana 65-69 SAM Howard (40min) 15 pts 13 rebs 5 asts 3 blks KEB Achonwa (27 min) 15 pts 14 rebs 3 ast 3 stls Thornton (12 min) 6 pts 6 rebs

KB Stars got back to their winning ways after defeating struggling Shinhan Bank at home. KB got off to a great start and never looked back. They build their lead to more than 20 points in the second half of the game. Shinhan decided to play most of the second half without either of the foreign players on the court. This proved to work out for the better as they were able to cut the lead to 11 but ran out of gas before they could finish the game. Shinhan will be changing at least of their foreign players shortly.

Shinhan Bank vs. KB Stars 49-67 SHI Bulgak (18 min) 2pts 7 rebs  Vaioletama o pts 1 reb KB Pierson (24 min) 4 pts 5 rebs 4 asts Graves (14 min) 3 pts 6 rebs 2 asts
