Mayaguez had no day of rest as they had to hit the road to try to extend their season on Wednesday. They kept the game close throughout, but Carolina was able to do just enough in the fourth quarter behind Jennifer O’Neill to win 72-66 and advance to the finals. Morovis knew that they would have their own shot at advancing to finals on Thursday. Santurce had a good start and closed the gap late, but a good game from Dayshalee Salaman was not enough even with a more healthy roster. The hosts were paced by the shooting of Pamela Rosado and the all-around contributions from Shae Kelley in the 70-61 final.
