There was one game to be made up from the first round on Saturday as the two teams that played in the Match of Champions had their regular season encounter.  As always, it was a scrappy affair between the teams with Lattes Montpellier handing Bourges their first loss 61-54.

Cup:

The Round of 32 of the French Cup was played over the weekend, but the designation is a bit of a misnomer with a number of teams getting a bye, leaving 20 teams to play for 10 spots in the next round.  There was a single game played on Friday as Landes shook off a slow start to beat Roanne of the second division 67-41.  Mousdandy Djaldi-Tabdi led Angers past Calais 75-52 in a matchup that used to be between first division foes.  Tarbes eliminated La Rochelle of the third division 82-51.  In another game between former league-mates, Nice won 74-67 at Toulouse behind Victoria Macaulay.  Olga Maznichenko and Montbrison put up a fight, but still lost 76-67 to Djene Diawara and Lyon.  Clementine Samson and Reims came closest to an upset, but fell short against Hainaut 61-59.  Katherine Plouffe helped prevent an upset as Nantes beat Chartres 74-70.  In the battle of two second division teams, it was Lorraine Lokoka and Aulnoye beating the youngsters of France’s Federal Center of Basketball program 65-55.  One final game of team that both used to compete in the top division went to Mondeville 59-50 over Arras.
