South:
Guangdong appears to be trending in the right direction after the halfway point of this stage finished on Tuesday. Shen Yi and Yelena Leuchanka teamed up to lead them to an 88-75 win over Sichuan. Henan remains the only unbeaten team, winning 93-81 at Shandong with Chiney Ogwumike delivering a near perfect performance of 56 points on only 25 field goal attempts. Shanghai also looks to be in a solid shape as they got great numbers from Breanna Stewart while she was in the game and held on in the minutes that she was not allowed to play in by rule to edge Bayi 82-78.

North:
Beijing continues to do well enough while waiting for their foreign player as they beat Heilongjiang 60-54. Shanxi won the battle for first place 82-65 at Shenyang, getting enough production from Jewell Loyd before she was unable to play more minutes by league rule to offset anything Li Meng and the military team could do. Camille Little had her best performance of the season and Xinjiang got another great game from Peng Shiqing, offsetting a big day for Kelsey Bone to beat Liaoning 85-73.
