Angel McCoughtry did all she could for the Dream, racking up 28 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks but it was not enough to hold off a Mystic team desperate for a win. The Mystics used balanced scoring where they saw five players score in double figures. Tayler Hill, who is having a break-out season, led the way with 17 points. Emma Messeman, who scored of 1,000th point of her career finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. In a game that saw 13 lead changes and in the second half saw the Liberty pull away to what looked like a convincing win, the Storm never gave up. The Storm cut their second half double digit deficit down to as little as 3 points but ran out of time before they could finish their rally for a win. The Liberty who improved to 4-3 on the season, relied on their leader Tina Charles to seal the deal. Charles finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Liberty. Sugar Rogers, who has had some great games for the Liberty this season finished with 18 points and 5 assists. For the Storm, Breanna Stewart was held to just 8 points but dominated on the boards with a game high 17 rebounds!
