It was a battle of the favorite against the home team to determine the championship on Thursday. Brazil did not want a repeat of the last game and built a big lead early, cruising to the 94-75 win. The trio of former WNBA players led the way again with Iziane Castro Marques and Kelly Santos taking charge early. Roselis Silva, Venezuela’s big scorer, had her best game of the tournament, but it was not enough. Brazil now waits for the Olympics on home soil while Venezuela hopes to take momentum from this tournament with them to France as they try to qualify.
