The quarterfinals got underway on Thursday as the new playoff format gave the top four teams some rest. The expected closest game between Venezia and San Martino was not fully decided until late as Karima Christmas carried Venezia to an 81-68 win. Top seed Lucca won 85-62 although Yvonne Anderson did her best to keep Torino close. Ragusa beat Parma 69-51. Schio did not mess around as they comprehensively dismantled Battipaglia 94-55. The top seeds now head on the road and try to finish their series on Sunday.
