The teams were looking to tilt the series in their favor in Game 3 in Urumqi. Tina Charles was able to get loose for the first time in the series, battling Sylvia Fowles to a draw. As a result, the game came down to the domestic players again. Peng Shiqing found her shooting touch for the hosts, but it was Shao Ting that ended up the leading scorer as a wild fourth quarter left the visitors 89-80 winners. As a result Xinjiang will be facing elimination as the teams head back to Beijing on Tuesday. Beijing will of course look to wrap up proceedings instead of needing to head back on the road even though they won both games in the Northwest.
