Top seeded Xinjiang brought the series lead home with them on the long journey across the country from Guangdong. The second game of the series played out as expected with the hosts relying on Tina Charles for the bulk of their scoring. Candace Parker had an all around effort and even got help from a few of her teammates. A fourth quarter comeback was needed for Xinjiang and the strength of Charles inside made the difference down the stretch. Xinjiang now has a commanding 2-0 series lead. The other series shifted scenes from Shanghai to Beijing and played out quite similarly to the first game. Sylvia Fowles was leaned on for scoring by the hosts while Elizabeth Cambage again found herself limited in shot attempts. Shi Xiufeng ended up leading Shanghai in scoring with 21 points. This time around, without huge scoring from Cambage, Shanghai were unable to pull out the win against second seeded Beijing who have now tied the series at one game a piece.
