This week teams played their third games of the fourth round. There is no Christmas holiday during the Korean season so teams had games on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Outside of Woori Bank at the top and Winnus KDB at the bottom of the standings, the three other teams are fighting to hold their places. Starting the week off, Samsung held off Shinhan at home. Kia Stokes scored a tying three pointer to send the game into overtime. KB Stars dominated KEB Hana at home to stay close in the runnings after a slow start to the season. KDB played Woori close throughout but didn’t have enough to mount a comeback in the final stanza. Samsung picked up another win knocking off KB Stars by one on their home court. Stokes had a major double double to give her team consecutive wins this round. Shinhan bank got off to a good start against league leading Woori bank. Up by ten to start the fourth quarter, Woori came out with their full court press. Forced Shinhan to several turnovers and eventually made a comeback to send the game into overtime. In overtime Woori outscored their opponents by three and escaped with a win. They have only lost 2 games this entire season.
