The title is a bit of a misnomer because only 12 teams participated in this round with the two EuroLeague teams getting a bye into the quarterfinals. The games were split into two days across two weeks. On the first day, Nantes won 73-63 at Arras and Angers won 61-53 at Calais. Charleville was the lone home team to win after beating Landes 84-62. The second set of games ran the following Tuesday. Marine Johannes and Mondeville knocked out Laura Garcia and Hainaut 77-71 in an exciting overtime affair. Gaelle Skrela and Lattes Montpellier looked to defend their crown and beat Nice 73-58. Lyon knocked out the only remaining lower division team, Charnay, which is struggling in the second division, 81-63. Candace Williams did showcase what she could do against higher level teams in the loss.
