The two teams had completely different momentum as Henan had gotten used to winning while Liaoning had mostly been losing. It seemed possible that would lead to an advantage for Henan, especially since they were hosting the first game, but they lost 88-71 after getting pounded in the fourth quarter. Kara Braxton got help from Wang Chengcheng while Cheyenne Parker was kept relatively in check with Huang Pinzhen left to try and keep the overall score close.
