Shinhan Bank were back on their home floor for their last game of the second round. Having won two games in a row, Shinhan were looking to finish the round strong and make more separation in the standings. Shinhan Bank never fell behind this game and seem to be finding a rhythm as the season goes along. Despite three players scoring in double figures for Samsung it wasn’t enough to knock off the streaking S-Birds.

Shinhan Bank vs. Samsung 72-63 SHI Currie 21/5/5 (25min) Gatling 6/4 (14min)  SAM Stokes 13/8 (28min) Harris 6/2/2 (12min)

KDB took the court trying to avoid losing their tenth game in a row. Unfortunately for them, the game was against number one ranked Woori Bank. KBD started off strong and even won the first quarter by two points. They failed to keep their momentum going into the second quarter as Woori held them to a mere eight points for the period. By the fourth quarter the game started to slip away from KDB and Worri handed them another loss.

Winnus KDB vs. Woori Bank 59-80 KDB Pierson 5/5 (28min) Baugh 3/2 (11min) WOO Stricklen 19/8 (28min) Goodlet 8/5 (11min)

In what was a close game on KB Stars home floor Hana Bank escaped with a win. KB started the game off strong taking a ten point lead into the half. The second half was all KEB Hana. They outscored KB Stars in the paint by more than 20 points. Charde Houston went off this game and finished with a huge double double of 41 points and 15 rebounds.

KB Stars vs KEB Hana 81-84 KB Hamby 20/5/4 (30min) Howard 6/6 (14min) KEB Mosby 4/1 (10min) Houston 41/15/3 (34min) Lee 10/10 (34min)

League leaders Woori Bank continued their dominance as they beat Samsung on their home floor.  Woori Bank’s defense was smothering as they held Samsung to just 11 points in the first quarter and 10 points in both the second and third quarters. The roles were reversed in the fourth as Samsung held Woori to just 11 points but the game had already been decided by then.

Samsung vs. Woori Bank 45-57 SAM Stokes 17/19 (40min) Harris DNP  WOO Stricklen 12/3 (20min) Goodlet 6/6 (19min)

Still in search of a win KDB had a chance to win their first game since the first round. However, once again they game up short. After KEB made a costly turnover with seconds left on the clock KDB was unable to convert the turnover into a basket. They eventually had to foul and in the end lost another game.

Winnus KDB vs.  KEB Hana 69-71 KDB Pierson 11/8/4 (22min) Baugh 10/8 (17min)  KEB Mosby 7/3 (14min) Houston 18/5/5 (25min) Lee 22/19 (37min)

Woori Bank came out firing and dominated this game throughout. Shinhan tried to get back into the game during the third quarter but turnovers would keep them out of reach. Woori Bank doesnt seem to be slowing down as they have won every game this round.

Woori Bank vs. Shinhan Bank 80-57 WOO Stricklen 22/6 (26min) Goodlet 2/4 (13min) SHI Currie 8/5 (19min) Gatling 10/6 (20min)

This game needed overtime time to decides its winner. In a fight for third place in the standings a lot was on the line. Samsung played a great first half and held KB to just five points in the entire second quarter! However, after a back and forth third quarter KB Stars put on the pressure forcing the into overtime. Despite Kia Stokes amazing effort where she clocked in the first triple double in the league this season it wasn’t enough to bring home a win on their home floor. With this win KB Stars moved up to third place in the standings.

Samsung vs. KB Stars  77-80 SAM  Stokes (50min) 21/27/11blk Harris DNP KB Hamby 31/22 (44min)  Howard 0/0 (5min)

Standings

  1. Woori Bank 13-2
  2. Shinhan Bank 8-6
  3. KEB Hana 8-6
  4. KB Stars  7-8
  5. Samsung 6-9
