The top group promised a number of big clashes in the post and the first set of games did not disappoint. Elizabeth Cambage continued her dominance as she led Shanghai to a 68-62 win over Guangdong. Tina Charles continues to lead Xinjiang, but her less experienced teammates could not offer as much as the domestic players on Beijing, which came back to win 70-67.
