On Friday, Leilani Mitchell and Kayla Standish, who is returning to form, led Adelaide past Sydney 94-67. Dandenong edged Perth 65-63 and Belinda Snell turned back the clock as Bendigo beat Townsville 84-68. On Saturday, a battle of the university-sponsored teams left Canberra winless again as Sydney won 82-76 even though Abby Bishop and Renee Montgomery were the leading scorers by far. Alice Kunek of Melbourne led the game in scoring, but Perth got the win 84-73. On Sunday, Adelaide finished doubling their season win total by beating Dandenong 72-70. Bendigo also swept the weekend after winning 97-88 at SEQ. A solid effort from Gabrielle Richards and another big game from Belinda Snell helped offset Ify Ibekwe’s weekend-leading scoring outburst.
