The weekend of games started in exciting fashion as SEQ beat Sydney 97-89 in overtime to ensure that they would end the weekend atop the standings. Also on Friday, Bendigo won in Perth 73-67. On Saturday, Townsville won at Dandenong 83-75 and Melbourne won 91-63 in Canberra to continue the trend of strong showings for the road teams. On Sunday, Adelaide surprised Bendigo 76-68 to record their first win. The round of games finished Monday as Melbourne beat Townsville 84-75 despite the second impressive performance of the week by Suzy Batkovic.
